CHILD DENTAL BENEFITS SCHEME/BULK BILLING

The Australian Government provides financial support for basic dental services for children aged 2–17.

Q. Do you have bulk billing at your dental practice?

If you have been sent a Child Dental Benefits Scheme (CDBS) Voucher from Medicare you are able to use this voucher at our dental practice. The Child Dental Benefits Scheme is a new programme. It gives eligible children access to $1000.00 in benefits per child for dental services over two calendar years.

Q. Who is eligible for this CDBS Medicare voucher?

Children aged from 2 years to 17 years of age and are part of a family that receives Family Tax Benefit A or the child receives an Australian Government payment from the list available at the Human Services Government website.

Your child’s eligibility will be determined each calendar year.

You can also check your child’s eligibility and balance through your Medicare online account at my.gov.au or by calling 132 011.

Q. I think my child may be eligible so what do I need to do next?

Call our practice on 3369 5959 to book an appointment for your child and advise the receptionist that you have a CDBS voucher from Medicare.

Q. Do I need to bring anything to the appointment?

Yes you need to bring the CDBS voucher and your Medicare card.
